The Cubs' 10-1 victory over the Rockies on Wednesday was filled with plunking after plunking as Kris Bryant was beaned two times the previous day.

During Wednesday's contest, star third baseman Nolan Arenado was hit by Cole Hamels on a pitch high and inside.

Arenado was upset and screamed, "too high Cole" to the veteran pitcher before slowly walking to first base.

Cubs manager Joe Maddon spoke about the play after the game.

"Right now, we lead the league in getting hit by pitches," Maddon said. "And our guys go to first base."

"We get hit a lot," he said. "Rizzo gets hit a lot. (Kris Bryant) gets hit a lot. I've always (said), 'You got two options. Go to the mound or go to first base. But don't sit there and jabber. Make up your mind. Do one or the other."

Arenado left the game in the fifth inning with left forearm tightness.

“We hit Bryant twice yesterday so I kind of had the feeling it was going to happen. I just thought it was high,” Arenado said.

In case you were wondering, the two teams won't meet up again during the regular season. However, both sides won't forget what transpired and will probably plunk a few batters the next time they square off possibly in the playoffs.

"It would be a spicy series," Arenado said.
