The Chicago Bears announced that they have re-signed safety DeAndre Houston-Carter to a one-year contract on Thursday.

Houston-Carter is a special teams star for the Bears and also has made several plays in the dime package over his career too.

In total, he has appeared in 64 games the past five seasons.

In 2020, the reserve defensive back played in a career-high 91 snaps on defense with 13 tackles, one interception, one fumble recovery, and three pass deflections.

The Bears drafted him in the sixth round of the 2016 NFL draft out of William and Mary.
