Bears sign kicker Cairo Santos to $16 million contract extension

A strategic move for the Chicago Bears' future has been made as they secure the services of standout kicker Cairo Santos with a four-year contract extension worth $16 million, including $9.5 million guaranteed according to multiple reports.

Santos boasts an impressive record of 27 successful field goal attempts out of 29, with a perfect 6-for-6 performance from 50+ yards in 2023.

The 32-year-old had three games left on his three-year deal, but now the Bears have locked him for the future so that the most accurate kicker in team history wouldn't be an unrestricted free agent.

He is now with the Bears to at least the 2027 season.
