WATCH: Tevin Jenkins throws out first pitch at Wrigley Field |
Chicago Bears offensive lineman Tevin Jenkins had a special moment on Sunday as he threw out the first pitch at Wrigley Field ahead of the Chicago Cubs' Sunday finale against the Los Angeles Dodgers.
Jenkins, a second-round pick in the 2021 NFL Draft, delivered the first pitch to Cubs mascot Clark the Cub, much to the delight of the fans in attendance. Jenkins, who stands at 6-foot-6 and weighs 320 pounds, showcased his arm strength as he threw a baseball in the dirt to Clark the Cub from the pitcher's mound. It wasn't the greatest pitch in the world but it as bad as say, 50 Cent's infamous first pitch. Jenkins is not the first member of the Bears to throw out the first pitch at Wrigley Field this season. Offensive lineman Braxton Jones and newly acquired wide receiver DJ Moore also had the honor earlier in the season. The Bears have a strong connection with the Cubs, as both teams call Chicago home and have a loyal fan base in the city.
