(03:15) Dansby Swanson singles, Pete Crow-Armstrong (PCA) walks, and Carson Kelly drives in Swanson with an RBI single. Cubs take a 1-0 lead.
(04:49) Cubs load the bases, and a walk to Kyle Tucker forces in a run. Cubs lead 2-0. Suzuki strikes out to end the inning.
(05:45) Swanson homers to center field — his third of the season — extending the Cubs' lead to 3-0.
(06:37) Nico Hoerner adds an RBI single, pushing the lead to 4-0. Cubs showing strength with two-out rallies.
(07:41) Boyd exits the game after a solid outing: 6 strikeouts and a ground-ball double play. He took a comebacker off his arm but appears fine.
(08:28) Carson Kelly hits a 3-run homer, his second of the year. Cubs now lead 7-0, effectively sealing the game.
