The Chicago Cubs took care of business Thursday night against the San Diego Padres, punching their ticket to the NLDS, where they’ll face the Milwaukee Brewers starting Saturday.

The game ended in controversy after a ninth-inning strikeout of Xander Bogaerts, a call that had the Padres fuming.

"Talk about it now: What do you want me to do?" Bogaerts said after the game. "It's a ball. Messed up the whole game, you know? I mean, can't go back in time, and talking about it now won't change anything. So it was bad, and thank God for ABS next year because this is terrible."

Following the final out, several Padres players and coaches stormed toward the umpires near the visiting dugout, shouting and getting in their faces as tempers boiled over.

It’s an ugly scene that Major League Baseball is almost certain to review, and discipline could be coming soon.
