WATCH: Highlights from Cubs' 11-0 annihilation of Mariners

SEATTLE, Wash. — With perhaps their most emphatic statement win of the 2019 season thus far, the Chicago Cubs (16-12) destroyed the Seattle Mariners (18-15) by a score of 11-0 at T-Mobile Park on Wednesday. The Cubs hit three home runs in the contest and also limited the Mariners to just one hit.

Javier Baez, Willson Contreras and Anthony Rizzo each recorded a solo jack in the blowout, as the Cubs ran away with it after going up 6-0 on the Mariners in the top of the second. Pitching in his home state of Washington, Cubs starter Jon Lester made it a pleasant homecoming by tossing seven scoreless innings and picking up the winning decision.
