ST. LOUIS — Starting in left field for the Chicago Cubs on Tuesday, Kris Bryant flashed the leather in the bottom of the third and robbed St. Louis Cardinals shortstop Paul DeJong of a hit. Bryant covered a lot of ground in the Busch Stadium outfield and dived in order to catch a line drive off the bat of DeJong.

Bryant's spectacular snag prevented DeJong from coming up with a leadoff knock off starter Trevor Williams, who applauded the catch from the mound. A third-baseman-by-trade, Bryant has proven to be a solid defender in the outfield this season, and Tuesday's catch is one of his best outfield highlights yet.
