Bears all-time leading scorer Robbie Gould would "absolutely" want to play for Bears again

The Chicago Bears have a dependable kicker Cairo Santos who has made 69 out of 77 field goals with the team.

However, when the opportunity to sign a former fan favorite arises, it's hard not to consider it.

Robbie Gould is open to coming back to the Windy City, who has been a standout player in the league and has a special place in the hearts of many Bears fans.

"Here's what I'll tell you," Gould said recently on Waddle & Silvy. "It's been an interesting free agency period. One of the things I put most of my stock in is I want to be closer to home."

Gould expressed his interest in returning to Chicago.

"Would I love to come back here and play? Absolutely," Gould said. "There's no doubt about it. Unfortunately, it's not in our court to make that decision."

While the decision to bring Gould back ultimately rests with the general manager, Ryan Poles, Gould understands that Poles is doing some impressive things during his reign.

"If Chicago called me and said 'Hey, we want you back and you'd play.' Would I do it? Absolutely," Gould said. "But I think you got to be excited about what Ryan Poles is doing."

Gould is the all-time leading scorer in Bears history and converted 85.4% of his field goals during his time with the team.
