The Chicago Bears have invited Utah State offensive lineman Alfred Edwards to their rookie minicamp.
During his time with the Aggies, Edwards allowed just one sack this past season and was recognized with various honors, including First-Team All-Mountain West in 2022, Honorable Mention All-Mountain West in 2021, and Academic All-Mountain West in 2019, 2020, 2021, and 2022. In addition to these honors, Edwards also set multiple school records during his time at Utah State. He set the school record with 53 career starts and ranks second all-time in 55 career games played. Edwards also became the first player in school history to start in four bowl games and tied the school record by playing in four bowl games. Edwards is not only talented on the field but also off the field. He graduated from Utah State in the fall of 2021 with a degree in kinesiology and earned his master's in business administration from USU in the fall of 2022. The Chicago Bears' coaching staff will undoubtedly be watching Edwards closely during the minicamp, looking for signs of his potential and possible chance to make the team.
