The Chicago Bears are releasing defensive end Al-Quadin Muhammad, according to a report by ESPN reporter Adam Schefter.

Muhammad had 29 tackles, one sack, and one forced fumble in 16 games with nine starts last season.

In 2020, Muhammad had his best season in the pros, recording a career-high four sacks and 44 total tackles.

Muhammad was a four-star recruit coming out of high school and played for Miami. During his time at Miami, he had 95 total tackles, 12.5 tackles for a loss, and 7.5 sacks.

The Bears will now lean on Trevis Gipson and Dominique Robinson as their main defensive ends for the 2023 season. However, Ryan Poles will likely address this position during the NFL draft and in free agency.

It should be an exciting offseason to follow the Bears, as their roster should be upgraded by the time the season kicks off.
