Report: Bears sign Tulane safety to free agent deal

The Chicago Bears have signed safety Macon Clark to an undrafted free-agent deal, according to multiple reports.

Clark, originally from St. Rose, Louisiana, attended Destrehan High School and was rated as a three-star prospect by 247Sports.

He then played for Tulane University, where he had a successful collegiate career.

As a freshman, Clark played in twelve games and tallied five tackles. He improved in his sophomore season, playing in nine games and recording fourteen tackles and one interception.

In 2020, he played in all twelve games and had an impressive performance, totaling forty-three tackles, 6.5 tackles for loss, four sacks, two interceptions, one forced fumble, and one fumble recovery.

Clark continued to excel in his junior year, starting in all twelve games and leading the team with seventy-four tackles. He also had four interceptions, four tackles for loss, and one sack.

During his senior season, he played in thirteen games, totaling sixty-three tackles, eight tackles for loss, two interceptions, two forced fumbles, and one fumble recovery.

Clark is a versatile safety with strong tackling skills and playmaking abilities, as evidenced by his decent statistics at Tulane.
