Rumor: Steelers talking to Bears about trading up in NFL draft

by - Senior Editor -

The 2023 NFL Draft is right around the corner, and the rumors and speculation surrounding potential trades are starting to heat up.

One of the latest rumors involves the Pittsburgh Steelers and the Chicago Bears, with talks of a potential trade brewing between the two teams.

According to EJ Snyder of the Bootleg Football Podcast, there have been conversations between the Steelers and Bears about moving up in the draft.

Snyder, during a live stream on YouTube, stated that "Bears and Steelers are possible. They've talked about it. I know they've talked about it. It's by no means for sure. The most likely connect the dots moment is that Pittsburgh needs a tackle, and they go up for one because there's one they like, and they'll be gone by the time they pick at 17."

While this rumor is by no means confirmed, it is an interesting development and one that could have significant implications for both teams.

The Steelers currently hold the 17th overall pick in the draft, and with general manager Omar Khan indicating that the team is open to trading up or down, it's clear that the team is looking to make a move.

This is where the Bears come in. The Bears hold the ninth overall pick in the draft, and if the Steelers are looking to move up, they would need to trade with a team in that range.
