Betting Preview: Bears v. Bengals - Best Bets, Player Props and Parlays |
CHICAGO - There is nothing that complicates your ability to bet on the Chicago Bears’ matchup versus the Cincinnati Bengals on Sun. Nov. 2 (Noon / CBS) than injuries. Both the Bears and Bengals have numerous injuries on both sides of the ball that could drastically impact this game.
According to DraftKings, as of Fri. On October 31, the Bears were 2.5-point favorites with an over/under of 51.5. Whether Chicago’s receivers - Rome Odunze, DJ Moore, Olamide Zaccheaus, and Luther Burden III - along with Cincinnati’s quarterback, Joe Flacco, can play could dramatically impact these spreads before gametime. However, assuming Flacco plays and Chicago has at least three of their receivers available, the Bears will not cover the spread. This does not necessarily mean they will lose. If the Bears want to win this game, it will probably be a shootout with the star power Cincinnati has at receiver. Therefore, it will be a close game. A $5 bet on the Bears to not cover the spread (-105) would have a payout of $9.76. By the same logic, the over will also hit if Flacco is available. The Bears allowed 30 points last week to the Baltimore Ravens. Cincinnati has been putting up a lot of points with Flacco at quarterback, and with Chicago’s depleted secondary, they probably will again. A $5 bet on the over to hit (-105) has a payout of $9.76. If Flacco cannot play and Jake Browning is the starting quarterback, the Bears will cover the spread, and the under will hit. The Bengals’ offense struggled with Browning at quarterback, despite having talented receivers. Although Chicago’s secondary is depleted, based on how Browning has played this year, this game probably will not be a shootout. A $5 bet on the under (-115) or a $5 bet on the Bears covering the spread (-115) would have a payout of $9.34. Player Props The Cincinnati Bengals are one of just six teams that have allowed at least 2,000 passing yards already this season. They have also given up the second-most touchdowns to opposing quarterbacks. Williams has not thrown a touchdown pass in either of the past two games. However, this would be a good team for him to rebound against, although this does depend on the health of his wide receivers. If Odunze, Moore and Zaccheaus can play, then Williams should not have a problem passing for at least two touchdowns. The payout on a $5 bet for Williams to throw at least two touchdowns (-154) is $8.24. Odunze has been Williams’ favorite target this season. However, while the Bengals have struggled defensively, they have done well against wide receivers only allowing receivers to score five touchdowns and not allowing too many receptions to wide receivers. Nonetheless, Williams will make sure Chicago’s top receiver gets the ball. Therefore, Odunze will have at least five receptions in this game. A $5 bet for Odunze to have at least five receptions (-103) would have a payout of $9.83. Cincinnati’s greatest weakness defensively is going against tight ends. They have allowed the most receiving yards (594) and touchdowns (10) to tight ends. While Chicago has yet to get its tight ends involved in the offense enough, this is a prime opportunity to do so. Rookie tight end Colston Loveland has been getting increased usage, especially with Cole Kmet injured. Therefore, Loveland will get his first career touchdown against the Bengals. A $5 bet on Loveland to score a touchdown (+310) would have a payout of $20.10. Same-Game Parlay - If Flacco Plays In a same-game parlay with Chicago not covering the spread, the over hitting, Williams throwing for at least two touchdowns, Odunze having at least five receptions and Loveland scoring a touchdown (+2500), a $5 bet would have a payout of $130. Same-Game Play - If Flacco Does Not Play In a same-game parlay with Chicago covering the spread, the under hitting, Williams throwing for at least two touchdowns, Odunze having at least five receptions and Loveland scoring a touchdown (+4000), a $5 bet would have a payout of $205. DraftKings Featured Parlay - “Everyone Eats” This parlay is a three-legged parlay with Odunze scoring a touchdown along with running backs D’Andre Swift and Kyle Monangai. Monangai has been getting more touches while Swift continues to be a constant presence in Chicago’s offense. Cincinnati has a problem defending running backs as they have allowed the most receiving touchdowns to backs (four) and the third-most rushing touchdowns to running backs (eight). Especially with how the Bears’ running backs have been getting in the end zone the past few games, even against the Ravens, it seems like a good bet to think Swift and Monangai can score a touchdown. In addition, as Odunze is Williams’ favorite target, it is probable that Odunze could find the end zone for the first time since before the bye week. This relies on the health of these players as Odunze and Swift are on the injury report. A $5 bet on this parlay (+750) has a payout of $42.50.
