Good news for fans in the Windy City.
The Chicago Bears have decided to exercise their fifth-year option on standout linebacker Roquan Smith according to multiple reports. Smith will be paid a guaranteed $9.375 million in 2022. Good move to lock up one of the best young players on your squad. He had an impressive 2020 season with a career-high 139 tackles including four sacks, two interceptions, and a forced fumble. He was the 8th overall pick in the 2018 NFL Draft by the Bears.
