Bears signing former Packers DB Jonathan Owens

Tony Crumpton Tony Crumpton - Senior Editor -

Multiple reports on Tuesday say the Chicago Bears are signing former Packers safety Jonathan Owens to a two-year deal.

Owens had a career-high 84 tackles last season with the Packers before spending his first four years with the Houston Texans.

He is the husband of world champion gymnast Simone Biles, so expect her to now be a big Bears fan.

The Bears secondary has had a huge upgrade of late with the addition of veteran Kevin Byard, Owens, and the youngster Jaquan Brisker, who is ready for a huge season.
