Bears News: Head coach Matt Eberflus reacts to Robert Quinn missing mandatory minicamp

by - Senior Editor -

This is not ideal news for Bears fans.

Bears standout defensive end Robert Quinn did not show up for mandatory minicamp on Tuesday.

Head coach Matt Eberflus spoke to reporters and didn't want to talk too much about Quinn missing from camp.

"We're not talking about that as an organization," Eberflus said. "We hoped he would be here. He's not. Ryan and his staff are going to work through that. I really don't have any other comment other than that about Robert Quinn."

Eberflus shared that he has reached out to Quinn previously this offseason.

"Have I communicated with him? Sure," Eberflus said. "Yeah, I've talked to him. I wished him happy birthday a few weeks ago, and we've talked to them. In terms of being here, not being here, I'm going to leave that up to Ryan."
