Bears TE Gerald Everett lands on non-football injury list

Multiple reports on Friday afternoon stated that Chicago Bears tight end Gerald Everett had been placed on the non-football injury list.

Players were checking in during the start of training camp, and this was just reported. There is no word yet on why he will miss the start of camp.

Everett signed a two-year deal worth $12 million, including $6.1 million in guarantees with the Bears this past offseason.

The 29-year-old caught 51 passes for 411 receiving yards and three touchdowns last season.

Hopefully, this is just a short-term issue, and he will be back soon in training camp to help bolster the Bears offense in 2024.

In other roster news, undrafted rookie defensive end Jamree Kromrah was removed from the physically unable to perform (PUP) list.
