Tough news for the Bears defense.

The Chicago Bears announced Thursday that nickel cornerback Kyler Gordon has been placed on the injured reserve with a hand injury he suffered during last Sunday's loss to the Packers.

Gordon will miss at least four games and be eligible to return if healthy on Oct. 15 against the Minnesota Vikings.

He had 71 tackles, two tackles for loss, six pass breakups, one forced fumble, and a fumble recovery in 14 games as a rookie last season.

In other roster moves, the Bears promoted cornerback Greg Storman Jr. from the practice squad to take Gordon's spot and re-signed rookie safety Macon Clark to the practice squad.

Stroman had eight tackles, an interception, and a pass breakup in two games last season with the Bears.

Clark has no NFL experience as he was an undrafted free agent from Tulane signed by the Bears this year.
