The Chicago Cubs lost a heartbreaker to the Miami Marlins 5-4 at Wrigley Field on Sunday afternoon.

The win for the Marlins gave them an 11-0 record in one-run games this season.

In the 14th inning, Adbert Alzolay was called for a controversial balk call by the home plate umpire which scored the fifth run of the contest and ultimately the game-winner.

It was a tough call for the Northsiders.

The Cubs finished the day with 11 hits, including multi-hit games from Ian Happ, Cody Bellinger, Matt Mervis, and Nick Madrigal.

The Cubs will continue their homestand when they welcome the St. Louis Cardinals and former Cubs catcher Willson Contreras to town on Monday.
