WATCH: Patrick Wisdom crushes go-ahead bomb for MLB-tying 12th homer |
Chicago Cubs third baseman Patrick Wisdom crushed a two-run homer to put the Cubs up 3-2 against the St. Louis Cardinals on Wednesday night.
It was a towering homer that traveled 393 feet with an estimated velocity of 106.6 MPH with a launch angle of 106.6 MPH off of Cardinals starter Jordan Montgomery. He is tied with the MLB lead with Max Muncy and Pete Alonso with 12 homers on the season. This has to feel good for Wisdom to hit a homer against his former team. It was just Wisdom's 10th hit since April 20th but certainly a big one. Fans of the Cubs have been excited to see Wisdom's emergence as a key player on the team, and his homer on Wednesday night only added to the excitement.
