Chicago Cubs catcher Yan Gomes smacked a two-run homer to put the Cubs up 5-2 against the St. Louis Cardinals on Wednesday night. This was just his second plate appearance since being activated from the injured list today. It was Gomes' sixth homer of the season, and it traveled 396 feet with an exit velocity of 106.5 MPH. Last season, he didn't hit his sixth homer of the season until Aug. 14.
