PITTSBURGH — Javier Baez, Kris Bryant and Anthony Rizzo all went yard, and the Chicago Cubs (4-3) won their first road game of the season on Thursday. The Cubs defeated the Pittsburgh Pirates (1-6) 4-2 at PNC Park, snapping a two-game losing skid and handing the Buccos their sixth straight loss. The Pirates' lone win of the season thus far came against the Cubs on Opening Day.

Bryant set the tone with a solo shot in the first inning, and Baez went on to swat a two-run blast in the sixth frame. Baez chased a low pitch out of the zone and was able to make contact and send it flying. Rizzo added an insurance run with an eighth-inning solo dinger. Jake Arrieta started on the bump and tossed six innings en route to collecting a winning decision.
