Tough news to report today.

Former Chicago Bears running back Cyril Pinder passed away on Saturday at the age of 74.

Pinder appeared in 25 games with the Bears across two seasons rushing for 611 yards and four touchdowns. He also had 11 catches for 64 yards. He was brought over from a trade from the Eagles to the Bears when Gale Sayers was down with a knee injury.

The Eagles drafted him in the second round in the 1968 NFL draft out of Illinois.

BearsHQ would like to give our most heartfelt sympathies to the family and friends of Pinder.
