CHICAGO — The Chicago Bears (8-8) backed into the playoffs on Sunday, with the Green Bay Packers (13-3) defeating the Bears at Soldier Field to close out the regular season. Due to the outcome of a separate game, the Bears received a spot in the postseason, but Green Bay earned home-field advantage by downing Chicago 35-16.

Running back David Montgomery scored the Bears' lone touchdown of the contest on the opening drive. Three field goals and one extra point by kicker Cairo Santos provided the Bears with the rest of their points. Wide receiver Darnell Mooney highlighted Chicago's Week 17 performance by hauling in 11 receptions before leaving the game due to injury.
