Say it isn't so Joe! Some shocking news out of MLB today.

The Anaheim Angels have fired veteran manager Joe Maddon on Tuesday afternoon.

Maddon had a $4 million option or $1 million buyout in 2023 but the team never started any contract talks with Maddon according to reports.

Phil Nevin will be the interim manager as the team tries to get back on track as they are in the midst of a franchise-worst 12-game losing streak.

They are currently 8 1/2 games back of Houston in the American League West but just two games under .500.

Maddon is the former Cubs manager for five years that helped the Cubs win a World Series after a more than a century wait for fans.

He had 1,383 wins and 1,216 losses for his career, which might be good enough to land him in the Hall-of-Fame one day, especially since he helped break the curse for the Northsiders.

The Phillies fired former Cubs player Joe Giraldi last week.
