Chicago Cubs teammates Yu Darvish and Jason Heyward have been nominated for 2020 Major League Baseball Players Choice Awards.
Darvish was nominated for Outstanding Pitcher along with Trevor Bauer and Jacob DeGromm. For the season, Darvish had a 8-3 record with a 2.01 ERA, 93 strikeouts, and 0.96 WHIP. Heyward was nominated for the Marvin Miller Man of the Year alongside Nelson Cruz and Adam Wainwight. J-Hey was also nominated for the 2020 Roberto Clemente Award earlier in the year. These Player Choice awards are a big deal because the players vote on these awards. The winners will be announced on Oct. 22.
