Cubs reportedly calling up Moises Ballesteros after Ian Happ's injury

Elite prospect Moises Ballesteros will be called up, according to multiple reports, on Wednesday.

It was first reported by ESPN's Jesse Rogers.

Ballesteros has a .331 average with nine homers and 56 RBIs this season at Triple-A Iowa. He is the Cubs' No. 2 prospect and MLB Pipeline's No. 47 overall prospect.

Ian Happ's injury is the reason for the roster move. He fouled off a ball off his shin during Tuesday's loss to the Brewers.

However, the X-rays were negative after the game.

“Just squared it up,” Happ said to reporters. “Felt a little lightheaded there and didn’t want to pass out on the field, so made my way down the tunnel.

“That was as bad as I’ve had it. Not the pain thing, it’s the lightheadedness and feeling like you might not make it off the field. So, in that situation, just getting out of there.”
