Cubs pitcher Jake Arrieta smacked a three-run homer against Madison Bumgarner in the second inning against the Giants. The home run's exit velocity was 106.2 MPH and it was fifth hardest hit home run by a pitcher in the Statcast era.

Bumgarner had never given up a homer to a pitcher until Arrieta took him deep. Before the home run, Bumgarner had a streak of 24 straight scoreless postseason innings.

The Cubs pitchers have six RBIs in the series compared to only two total for the Giants hitters and pitchers. All of the Cubs players went nuts in the dugout to celebrate Arrieta's crucial homer.
