Chicago Cubs catcher Willson Contreras smacked a solo opposite field homer to right field on an 0-2 fastball to put the Cubs up 1-0 in the first inning of Wednesday's game against the Padres.

Contreras' fourth homer ties Seiya Suzuki for second place on the team in homers.

It was home run No. 99 for Contreras as it traveled 372 HAPPY feet. The homer ties him for the 25th most homers in a Cubs uniform in franchise history.

His batting average is now up to an impressive .300 for the season.

Patrick Wisdom leads the Northsiders with five dingers this season.
