Sometimes a change of scenery can work wonders.

Chicago Bears announced Wednesday that they have signed defensive end Taco Charlton to their active roster off the Saints practice squad.

“We’re excited to have him,” Eberflus said during his press conference today. “We’re excited to see where it can go. He’s going to be in there for depth for us, a rotational player inside. We’ll see where it goes from there.”

Charlton hasn't played in a game this season after having 2.5 sacks, one tackle for loss, and a forced fumble over the previous two seasons with the Chiefs (2020) and Steelers (2021). Overall, he has 11.5 sacks over five seasons in the NFL.

He will likely take the depth pass rusher position that Kingsley Jonathan had, who was released on Tuesday.

He was selected with the No. 27 overall pick in the 2017 draft.
