Bears News: Justin Fields among inactives against Giants

by - Senior Editor -

The Chicago Bears announced their inactive list for today's game against the New York Giants.

The full list included quarterback Justin Fields (ankle), cornerback Duke Shelley (heel), offensive lineman Elijah Wilkinson, offensive lineman Lachavious Simmons, and tight end JP Holtz.

Fields will not dress today so Andy Dalton will get another start this season. Nick Foles will be the backup quarterback if Dalton needs to be relieved or gets injured.

In good news, defensive lineman Akiem Hicks and veteran offensive tackle Jason Peters are active for the game. Hicks has been on the reserve/COVID list while Peters has been out the last couple of games with a high ankle sprain.

The contest between the Bears and Giants will start at noon CT Sunday from Soldier Field.
