Bears not interested in being on HBO's Hard Knocks

The Bears have made it clear that they are not interested in being featured on HBO's "Hard Knocks" documentary series this season. The show, which gives viewers an inside look at NFL teams during training camp, has been a popular program for football fans. However, for the Bears, it seems that the potential downsides of being on the show outweigh any benefits.

"We feel there are several teams that have compelling stories to tell on ‘Hard Knocks,’" McCaskey told reporters recently. “Thirty-one others.”

One of the main reasons the Bears are hesitant to be on "Hard Knocks" is the intense scrutiny that comes with it. The cameras would be on the team 24/7, which would make it difficult for players and coaches to focus on their jobs.

The show could also create unwanted distractions for the team, potentially leading to a decrease in performance on the field.

In addition, being on "Hard Knocks" would give opponents an inside look at the Bears' strategies and tactics. This could put the team at a competitive disadvantage, as other teams would have more information to prepare for games against the Bears.

Last season, the Lions were featured for the training camp portion while the Cardinals were part of the in-season look.
