Bears one of three teams likely to draft Jalen Carter

by - Senior Editor -

As the 2023 NFL draft approaches, the excitement and buzz surrounding the potential picks are reaching a fever pitch. One player who has been generating a lot of talk is Georgia defensive lineman Jalen Carter.

The Chicago Bears are one of three teams most likely to select Carter in the first round as ESPN's Matt Miller reports that the Bears and Seattle Seahawks are the only two teams that have been able to get a visit from Carter since he only wants to visit teams that have a top 10 pick.

ESPN's Jeremy Fowler believes that the Philadelphia Eagles could also be a potential landing spot for Carter who have the No. 10 overall pick.

But it is the Chicago Bears that have shown the most interest in Jalen Carter.

According to sources, Carter spent two days in Chicago earlier this week, and the Bears have been doing extensive research on him, including talking to people from his hometown. This level of interest indicates that the Bears are very deep in talks about whether to draft Carter or possibly go after an elite offensive lineman.

If they are successful in drafting Carter, they will be getting a talented player who could help them become one of the top defensive teams in the league.
