Bears sign defensive tackle for $21 million deal

Another move for the Bears on the first day of free agency.

The Chicago Bears are reportedly signing former Titans defensive lineman DeMarcus Walker to a three-year contract worth over $21 million with $16 million guaranteed.

The deal is pending a physical.

Last season, he had a career-high seven sacks, 32 quarterback pressures, and 16 quarterback hits with the Titans. That production merited him a 72.8 grade from Pro Football Focus.

In the last two seasons, he has registered over 30+ pressures at the quarterback, which the Bears desperately need.

He is likely the replacement for Al-Quadin Muhammad on the left side. He played 124 out of 426 snaps last year at the defensive tackle position.

The 28-year-old was impressive in the last 10 games last season and should help out the line next season.

He was a second-round draft pick of the Denver Broncos in the 2017 NFL Draft.

More to come on this breaking story.
