Bears signing former Panthers running back D'onta Foreman |
Another move for the revamped Bears offense for 2023.
The Chicago Bears are signing former Panthers running back Donta Foreman to a one-year contract worth $3 million on Thursday, according to multiple reports, including ESPN's Adam Schefter. The deal is pending a physical. According to reports, the Bears beat out the Bills, Panthers and Giants for Foreman's services. In 2022, Foreman rushed 203 times for 914 yards and five touchdowns. For his NFL career, he has 443 rushing attempts for 1,901 yards and ten touchdowns. He also has 23 career receptions for 265 yards and two scores. He was drafted in the third round by the Houston Texans in the 2017 NFL draft. This appears to be a steal of a bargain for the Bears as the 26-year-old running back had almost a 1,000-yard season with the Panthers in 2022. Don't think it is being discussed enough how impressive D'Onta Foreman was last year.
