More linebacker depth added by the Monsters of the Midway.

The Chicago Bears announced that they have signed linebacker Davion Taylor who had a tryout with the team earlier this week.

In a corresponding move, the Bears have waived linebacker Buddy Johnson with an injury designation.

Taylor has played in 21 games with seven starts with the Eagles the last two seasons before suffering a knee injury. Overall he had 51 tackles and two forced fumbles.

The 25-year-old was on the practice squad with them last season.

Taylor was a third-round draft pick in 2020 by the Eagles.

Johnson was a fourth-round draft pick in 2021 by the Steelers.

He registered two tackles in four games with the Steelers as a rookie.
