Former NFL center loves Darnell Wright: "Plays like an absolute prick"

The Chicago Bears' selection of offensive lineman Darnell Wright in the first round of this year's NFL draft has drawn widespread praise from experts and analysts.

Considered a smart pick that fills a significant need on the roster, Wright is expected to provide immediate impact, particularly in helping protect quarterback Justin Fields.

One former NFL center, A.Q. Shipley, took his admiration for Wright's skills to another level. Speaking on "The Pat McAfee Show," Shipley expressed his excitement about the Bears selecting the talented offensive lineman.

“Darnell is by far the best lineman that I’ve watched on film,” Shipley said.

“They play the game like absolute f—g dogs,” Shipley said about Wright and Tevin Jenkins. “(Wright) plays like an absolute prick. You try to make an inside move on him; he’s trying to bury you into the f—g ground. Love it. I absolutely love it.”

Shipley likes how Wright uses his hands to beat the defender.

"He plays square. Great feet, great hands. He punches the f— out of you. We’re going to see a lot of linemen drafted; not everybody uses their hands. If I could go back and teach my younger self one thing, you have to play with your hands at the next level. This guy has that already."
