Chicago Bears standout linebacker Roquan Smith was named the Bears' winner of the 2020 Ed Block Courage Award.

The award is voted on by teammates to someone who shows 'symbolize professionalism, great strength, and dedication, and are considered community role models.'

"It's a tremendous honor for me," Smith told ChicagoBears.com. "Being voted on by my teammates, I think that speaks volumes, just having your peers vote for you and think you deserve this award. That means a lot to me just because of the brotherhood that we have."

In 2020, Smith had 139 combined tackles, including 18 tackles for loss and two interceptions.

Ed Block was a head trainer for the Baltimore Colts that dedicated his life to helping children.
