The Chicago Bears offense finally shows some signs of life.

In the third quarter of Sunday's game against the 49ers, second-year quarterback Justin Fields escaped the pocket to the left and threw back right to find a wide open receiver Dante Pettis for a 51-yard touchdown.

Pettis was wide open on the play as Fields scrambled away from him and David Montgomery took a few defenders with him.

The long touchdown was the fourth-longest touchdown pass in a Bears season-opener, according to Bears officials.

The Bears are now down 10-7 with 5:32 left in the third quarter.
