Roster Moves: Bears place WR on IR, sign Joe Thomas

The Chicago Bears announced Tuesday that they have placed receiver Byron Pringle on the injured reserve with a calf injury.

In his first season with the Bears, he has two catches for 33 yards.

Pringle will be eligible to play on Oct. 30 against the Dallas Cowboys.

He signed a one-year deal worth $4 million this past offseason.

In a corresponding move, the Bears have signed 31-year-old linebacker Joe Thomas from the practice squad to the active roster.

He had five tackles against the Texans this past Sunday.

For his NFL career, he has 218 tackles, 12 tackles for loss, 1.5 sacks, one interception.
