Bears News: Khalil Mack injury update

Tony Crumpton Tony Crumpton  ·  Senior Editor ·

Chicago Bears linebacker Khalil Mack has been dealing with an ankle injury that he suffered during Sunday's heartbreaking loss to the Dolphins.

Mack appears to be day-to-day with the injury as he was held out of practice today but might be able to play against the Patriots this weekend.

"We’re going to continue to keep an eye on it and make sure whatever we do, we’re more cautious than anything," coach Matt Nagy said before practice Wednesday. "I believe in that. I think it’s important to go that route. It's more of a day-to-day thing.

"He's doing good. He's in good spirits. We're just kind of going about business."

For the season, Mack has 19 tackles, five sacks, and four forced fumbles in only five games.
