Not ideal news for the Monsters of the Midway.

The Chicago Bears announced on Friday that starting running back David Montgomery and cornerback Jaylon Johnson are out for Sunday's game against the New York Giants.

Both standout players were held out of Friday's practice.

Monty has been dealing with an ankle injury, while Johnson has a quad issue.

In addition, kicker Cairo Santos missed his second straight practice due to personal reasons. He is 'questionable' officially to play on Sunday.

Backup safety Dane Cruikshank has been ruled out with a hamstring injury.

In other injury news, rookie receiver Velus Jones Jr. was a full go in practice today and could make his NFL debut on Sunday. This was the first time this season that Jones has practiced.

The Giants announced on Friday afternoon that Leonard Williams and Kadarius are out of Sunday's game.
